Who Am I? â€Å"Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life†, this is a quote from Confucius that I think many of us college students can relate to very well. College underclassmen are at a very awkward age, we are still too young to decide what we want to do for the rest of our live, yet we are old enough to have to do it. I can surely bet on the fact that some of my peers and even myself are doubtful about our future and the question â€Å"Where do you see yourself in ten years?†, is the scariest of all. Indeed, choosing a job and developing a career are what college students will spend two third of their life figuring out. However, to have head start in this process, growing a professional identity is much needed. For this assignment, I have chosen a job opening that is truly my dream job. It is the position â€Å"Associate Finance and Budget Officer† at the Department of Management of the United Nations Headquarter in New York City. After browsing many jobs and websites, I think this job opening is the best fit to my experience as well as interests. The company uses Total quality management practices in the organisation to keep up with the quality of the product and services. The company ensures that every step in the operation follows a proper quality check and methodology to ensure the quality is maintained and improved in the long run (Siva et al., 2016). In order to enhance the business practices the company should focus on the forecasts and implement corporate objectives in a clearer manner so that they can monitor the improvement in the process with the help of the objectives that they have set. The company focuses on improving the performance of the workers thus enhancing the skill and ability so that they are able to work in the integrated manufacturing unit (Jimnez-Jimnez et al., 2015).
